Through our legacy of philanthropic partnerships and generosity of our supporters, we created this page to offer resources to help you with your tax planning and to offer some ideas for you to consider if you are thinking about making a gift in support of our mission in 2023.

1. 2023 OUTRIGHT GIVING

We are all feeling the increased costs of daily life on our spendable cash, making it harder to fulfill those annual gift commitments. The Charitable IRA Rollover is an option which allows you to make the gift without affecting your checkbook. By rolling the gift out of your IRA to Lutheran Senior Services, you can help meet your required minimum distribution with a non-taxable withdrawal.

2. DONOR ADVISED FUND

If you have a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) and wish to help us this year, you can make a gift from your DAF to support Lutheran Senior Services without affecting your personal financial security.

If you prefer to donate thru donor-advised fund (DAF), please make the check payable to Lutheran Senior Services and mail to Lutheran Senior Services, 1150 Hanley Industrial Court, St. Louis, MO 63144.

3. CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUITIES

If you are concerned about your financial security given the ups and downs of the stock market, you may want to consider making a gift to fund a charitable gift annuity. You might be surprised by the benefits. You can exchange your low-performing stock, CDs or cash for a lifetime of set payments. If you make a gift of an appreciated asset, you will not have to pay capital gains when you fund the annuity. You may also benefit from a tax deduction this year and a portion of your payments could be tax-free.

4. CHARITABLE BEQUESTS
